Founded in 2015, ITSA has grown from 10 founding members into a global body of almost 30 key industry players – recognised by regulators and tax issuing authorities as an impartial expert in tax stamp technologies, revenue protection, and the fight against illicit trade.
Who We Are
The International Tax Stamp, Authentication and Traceability Association Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation, founded in 2015 under the original name of International Tax Stamp Association, and incorporated in England and Wales as a private company.
What began as an association of 10 founding members, with a principal objective of developing an ISO standard specific to tax stamps, has grown into a body of almost 30 key players in the global tax stamp and traceability community, advocating for secure, government-controlled solutions.
Today, ITSA is recognised by regulators and tax issuing authorities as an impartial expert in technologies and programmes to enhance government revenues and combat illicit trade.

We connect industry, regulators and policymakers – fostering the partnerships and knowledge exchange that raise standards across the global tax stamp and traceability ecosystem.
Develop Standards
We contribute to developing the ISO standard for tax stamps, as well as standards for implementing the EU Digital Product Passport.
Advocate Policy
We speak with one voice to regulators worldwide, advocating the fiscal, economic and public policy value of secure, government-controlled tax stamp and traceability programmes.
ITSA Code of Conduct
All ITSA members – Full and Associate – agree to uphold the Code of Conduct as a condition of membership, ensuring high standards of business integrity, ethics, and professionalism across the tax stamp industry.
